We went for brunch which was delicious. We would definitely return for dinner. Looking forward to that experience.
Absolutely wonderful and lively neighborhood restaurant. Everything flowed perfectly as a small packed restaurant should on a Friday night. The staff was great and never once had to call for their attention. The food portions were massively delicious. Stay for desert. We had no regrets about this place.
We were delighted by everything at our dinner last night. The welcome was sweet, the food excellent, the choices wonderful and the vibe terrific. We agreed it was better than most bistro meals we've had in Paris. I highly recommend the bouillabaisse and cassoulet.
I've come 3 times over the last few years as I live in PA and don't get to the city often. This place has blown me away every time. It's expensive but it is worth it. Every single dish, from the fresh bread and butter to the decadent chocolate cake will make you glad you came. For appetizers, I recommend the escargots, steak tartare and buratta with peaches. For my main I always get the duck because it's too good for me to even try anything else. It's tender and flavorful. The potatoes au gratin are the best I've ever had and even the veggies (which I'm not normally a huge fan of eating) are well seasoned. I'm also not normally a chocolate cake person but I am for their chocolate cake. Go and enjoy because the experience of eating here really gives you an idea of what dining in a small bistro in France is like. Your taste buds will thank you.
We were a party of 8. We took up an entire section of this cute and quaint little place. They had a large selection of specials that were not on the menu that our server explained to us. We ordered wine, starters, mains and dessert with coffee. Everything was great. The escargot is amazing. I had risotto with shrimp and crab. It was rich, but exactly what I was looking for. The desserts were great too. The restaurant is small but you feel like family there. They pay careful attention to your food and experience. The neighborhood is safe and off the beaten path.
What a special place!
I made this reservation for my girlfriends who were visiting. The table we were waiting for was running behind and they kindly gave us each a free glass of wine.
The atmosphere is fantastic. Intimate and friendly. The waiters are so attentive to the little needs and were extremely thoughtful and friendly! The food is delicious. Lots of bread provided!
This is my favourite New York restaurant experience to date. I would highly recommend.
Unfortunately a very forgettable meal for me.
I came here for dinner. We were seated outdoors immediately. They have some indoor seating - about 8 tables mostly for couples. Outside they have about 5 tables in the summer.
The service was relatively slow and since the menu didn't have too many options I was hoping all the food that they did they would do well. From menu to leaving we ordered about 3 dishes and it took 2.5 hours.
At best the food was fresh but it wasn't either tasty or memorable. It didn't have either flavor complexity or interest in terms of ingredient combination. I would probably come here for a basic meal but at the prices I expected something a little more upscale I suppose. We tried the heirloom tomato salad, the crab cake and the ravioli.
I would pass on this place for dinner - might be a better lunch option to be fair
Favorite Village dining experience. So intimate and friendly service. We love Pamela the owner and her wait staff. Food is delicious and always cooked perfectly. Those crab cakes are amazing.
